5 Things to Look Forward to in Fall

The summer flew by and fall or autumn is officially here. While it’s not quite time to bust out your sweaters, soon enough the season will bring cooler weather, beautiful foliage, fun outdoor activities and of course, your favorite fall tv shows. If you’re still bummed about summer or already oh-so excited about fall, keeping reading for 5 things to look forward to in fall.

1 – Leaves Changing Colors

It may be a bit cliche but the color of the leaves as we transition from summer to fall is probably one of everyone’s favorite parts of the season. Did you know that leaves change color due to their chlorophyll breaking down?

2 – Harvest Festival

Usually, every city has its own harvest festival, full of fun for everyone young and old. Whether it’s a hayride, corn maze, pumpkin patch, or apple picking, your city’s harvest festival is one you won’t want to miss.

3 – Oktoberfest

We’ve all heard of Oktoberfest but what is it exactly? A German fall festival, Oktoberfest is celebrated in Munich, Bavaria and goes from September 19th to October 4th. While the main celebrations take place in another country, various celebrations are held across the U.S. with the core of the festival being: pints of beer, delicious food, and live music.

 4 – Halloween

For many, when you think of fall, Halloween comes to mind. Fun for all ages, this holiday has something for everyone. Love scary or Halloween themed movies? Freeform is your go-to with their 31 Nights of Halloween. You’ll catch classics like:

Pumpkin carving is another Halloween activity that is fun for everyone. You can find pumpkin carving kits with stencils included at your local grocery store or if you have what you need to carve already, you can search online for stencils you can print at home. 5 – Fall Shows Return

Summer is the time of year where school is out, the sun’s shining and every day is considered a beach day but it’s also the dreaded time of year when your favorite shows go on break. You can now sit back and relax because your favorite shows are back!
