Take a deep breath, it’ll probably have a cool bite in the air when you do. With that, it’s time to jump, or fall, head first into October! This month brings with it a ton of activities for you to enjoy your days and nights. With that in mind, we figured it would be a good time to give you a few ideas on how to spend some of your weekends.
Here are some great fall activities:
Apple picking: There’s something about heading to the apple orchard with a loved one or group of friends that puts a smile on our face. Whether it’s the first sip of that hot cider or seeing all the colorful hues of trees around you, it’s a great way to kick-start fall.
Pumpkin Patch: If you have kids, this one might have been the first thing you did this fall. Regardless, getting to take your kids or whoever and picking out that perfect pumpkin or two can be quite rewarding. Especially if you have a knack for carving or even baking. Getting to roam around the pumpkin patch is one of nostalgia and the beginning of great memories for the little ones.
Pumpkin Carving: This goes hand-in-hand with the whole pumpkin patch idea, but carving all sorts of designs and faces into pumpkins is a fun-filled activity. It always leads to the rewarding or hilarious experience of lighting up the pumpkin to see if you quite artistic or quite the opposite.
Halloween/Trick or Treating: Everyone’s favorite night of October obviously has to be last. Getting all dressed up and heading out the door with a pillowcase of possibilities is the ultimate trip down nostalgia lane. Add that sugar rush you got the next few days and you couldn’t ask for a better night. Those without kids can find themselves still having a good time while being on the opposite side of the door. Gather at a friends or at your place for some drinks or dinner and hang out some candy to see how excited those that say “trick or treat” get.
